Sixteen years ago I was a know-it-all junior doctor. (This was long before I became a professional motivational speaker.) Thoroughly clueless, I was about to be misled by loopholes in my psychological circuits I knew nothing about. In medical school I worked like a dog for nine years to earn degrees in medicine and clinical chemistry. I studied broadly around each and every topic. And every summer, took on clinical research.
